It was a normal Tuesday morning in our office in Cape Town.
I was busy planning my day when I answered a call from an old friend.

“Can you meet me in Geneva tomorrow morning?” he asked like I would ask if someone could meet me at the local Mugg and Bean.

Well, I haven’t been to Europe before and my week seemed like a non event anyway – so, I started making arrangements.

Two hours later, without leaving my desk and without filling out one single form, my ticket was bought and my ‘paperwork’ was sorted.

‘This is unreal and much to easy – I thought”.
I was wrong – by 16h00 I was on the plane and after a brief stop-over in Germany I arrived in Geneva.

Anyway, what a ride – for someone who likes to plan ahead and know where he’s going, it was quite an experience.

and the Alps – well, what can I say……..
